In April 2009, after a long year planning and building, we moved into our brand new state of the art dance facility in the heart of Fuquay-Varina. Our new building greets you with a comfortable, spacious lobby where you are welcome to wait for your dancer while they are in class. (You can always leave and run errands for the duration of the class, but you are welcome to stay as well.) For parents who choose to stay, we have wireless internet as well as a playroom for siblings to enjoy! In the lobby you will also find a viewing window that looks into our pre-school dance room.

All three of the dance studios are spacious and provide the proper environment for both learning dance skills and having a great time! The Pre School dance room features an underwater theme. The walls are filled with hand painted sea creatures including "Nemo" and many fish friends! We even use some of the fish friends on the walls in some of our dances! The other two "green" and "purple" studios are huge, stage-sized studios providing plenty of room to execute double and triple leaps across the floor, or rehearse stage productions with plenty of room.

Most importantly, all three studios have professional O'mara dance floors. These sprung, "floating" floors are especially designed for dancers. "Closed cell foam blocks suspend the floor" protecting the dancer's joints and allowing resilience and bounce throughout the floor. The floors have a slip resistant finish that is safe for pointe work and allows the youngest tappers to feel comfortable in their brand new shoes!

We're excited about our new building and thrilled to be able to have a little extra space, however, as thankful and blessed as we have been to be able to complete this building, we are always careful to remember that the studio truly is just 4 walls and some dance space. Main Street Dance will never be the building in which we are housed. We will continue to remain a close knit family of dancers, parents, siblings, friends, and staff who come together to create a team. We are careful to remember that it doesn't matter WHERE we come together as long as we DANCE!!!!
