
Hip Hop (Ages 8-11)
Hip Jazz is a 45 minute class that meets once per week. We added the "Jazz" in the title because this class is hip hop and more! Hip Jazz starts with traditional stretching techniques to enhance flexibility and warm muscles so that injuries are prevented. We also work on fundamental jazz skills such as turns, extensions, and leaps that make executing hip hop moves much easier. the class then focuses on the popping and locking and fun isolation moves that are today's hip hop standards! The music used in this class is hip and fun and is always age appropriate.
The Hip Jazz class performs at our annual Christmas Show in December, and they also perform in the spring recital in May.
