About Us

Since Main Street Dance opened it's doors over a decade ago, we have been teaching the wonderful art of dance using proper technique coupled with fun, creative choreography. We have a philosophy about dance that has allowed us to grow from a tiny one room studio with a few dancers, to a large dance family with 3 award winning Dance Companies, over 100 competitive dancers, and almost 400 young ballerinas, tappers, and hip hoppers bouncing through our doors each week.

Our Philosophy

Dance is a beautiful, sometimes difficult art form that instills grace, self-confidence, and self worth in all who study it. We believe that if you are going to entrust us with teaching your children such a wonderful art form, we are going to teach it to them correctly (using proper technique and form), and enthusiastically (allowing them to have so much fun along the way that they sometimes forget it is hard work).

Even if it is not the student's desire to pursue dance more than recreationally, we are committed to teaching each student proper technique and solid skills that will further their dance abilities and take them to their highest potential. We also believe strongly that the dance we teach along with the performance opportunities given to the dancers will help develop lifelong strengths that will be assets to our students long after they hang up their dance shoes.

When each dancer leaves our stage and walks out our front door for the last time (hopefully as a graduating senior), it is our goal that they enter life as a strong, well rounded young lady or gentleman, and that they walk a little taller with their head held high knowing that even if they never step onto another "dance" stage again, they will be confident and strong when they step out onto the big stage of life; And wherever life takes them, it is our goal for them to take their Main Street dance training with them, and apply it to all facets of their lives.
